Bring these items
- Government-issued photo identification for you and your spouse
- Social Security cards or ITIN letters for every person on the return
- All Forms W-2, 1099, 1098, 1095, and other tax documents
- A copy of your prior-year return, if available
- Childcare-provider information and education or health-insurance documents, when applicable
- Bank routing and account numbers for direct deposit
- Your current six-digit IRS Identity Protection PIN, if one was issued to anyone on the return
For a married-filing-joint return, both spouses must be present to sign the required forms.
